'Chuck' Chuck Schumer!

Chuck Schumer is unwilling and unable to meet the moment. His sole job is to fight MAGA’s fascist takeover of our democracy – instead, he’s directly enabling it. Americans desperately need a real opposition party to stand up to Trump. It’s clear that will not happen as long as Schumer remains in charge of Senate Democrats. It’s time to ‘chuck’ Schumer out. We urge him to resign and call on all Senate Democrats to demand the new leadership that both their caucus and the American people urgently need.

Pass the Torch rally urges President Joe Biden to step aside

STAY UP TO DATE AND FOLLOW US ON

It's time to pass the torch.

We have incredible talent in our party – from mayors, to governors, to members of Congress – leaders who’ve proven their ability to win in critical districts and  states. As Trump and Republicans carry out a fascist takeover of our democracy, we need party leaders who can stand up and fight along every step of the way. We’re committed to supporting the next generation who will take the fight to Trump.

FAQs

What is Pass the Torch?

Pass The Torch was formed in the days after the Biden-Trump debate, expanding into a nationwide group mobilizing Democratic voters to urge President Biden to pass the torch. Pass the Torch is volunteer lead organization that started as a loose affiliation of around 15 friends-of-friends and quickly grew into a network of over 80 volunteers, including current and former Democratic elected officials, delegates to the 2024 Democratic National Convention, advocates, activists, designers, communications professionals, project managers, community organizers, and everyday voters from across the country.

In the two-and-a-half weeks after it formed, the group helped mobilize Democrats across the country to contact Congress nearly 30,000 times via phone calls and online actions, including 8,000 phone calls. Pass the Torch produced a TV ad which it planned to run in Washington, D.C. and Rehoboth, Delaware on Morning Joe (Biden’s favorite show) and during daytime MSNBC programming. The spot, which can be viewed here, features Democratic voters from Lancaster, Pennsylvania—all of whom volunteered to elect Biden in 2020—urging Biden to pass the torch.  Pass the Torch also organized delegates and state representatives across the country, commissioned a poll, and organized rallies in Ohio, Michigan, and Washington, D.C. The rally at the White House, which brought together over 100 people and gained widespread national press, was held hours before President Biden made his final decision to step aside from the race.
